Oriyah Barzilay and Shir Barzilay
SPARK OF HASBARA AWARD
Oriyah Barzilay is a Hasbara Fellow alumni from York University. In addition to being a Hasbara Fellow, she is also a past president of the pro-Israel student club Hasbara at York. Oriyah worked tirelessly as a student to advocate for Israel and the Jewish people while on York University, and her time there included active outreach to the student government, campus newspaper, non-Jewish student clubs, and more. Today, she is a proud alumni whose impressive record is known to many.
Shir Barzilay is a student at York University, and a Hasbara Fellow. Shir has been an active pro-Israel advocate on her campus since being introduced to Israel advocacy by Hasbara at York in her first year of university. Her involvement has included high-level leadership in political campaigns, both on an off campus. As a Hasbara Fellow, she is using her training and skills to advance Israel’s image on a very challenging campus environment.
